Controller

The controller of the personal data collected through this website is the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique in the Nordic Countries, Tingsvägen 19, 9th Floor, 191 61 Sollentuna, Sweden. For any question about your data, contact the Embassy by email at info@embassymozambique.se.

What data is processed

Contact form

When you use the form on the contact page, the Embassy receives the name, email address, subject and message you write, together with the language in which you were browsing the site. These data are used solely to answer your request and are kept only for as long as is needed to deal with it and any follow-up that results from it.

Comments

News, events and notices accept comments, which are reviewed by the Embassy before publication. When you comment, the following are stored: the text of the comment, your name (optional), your email address (optional, never published), the language, the page commented on and the date. To limit abuse, a cryptographic digest (hash) of your IP address combined with the day’s date is also stored; it cannot be reversed into the address and changes daily. These data are held in a Cloudflare D1 database, on servers in the European Union or under the safeguards provided for by the GDPR, and are kept for as long as the comment is published or awaiting moderation. Rejected comments are deleted. When enabled, the Cloudflare Turnstile bot check may process technical data from your browser under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Technical server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web server, the platform automatically records technical data about each visit (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type), which are kept for a short period and used only to keep the service secure and running properly. The Embassy does not combine these logs with any other data.

Preferences stored in your browser

The document checklists on the visa pages save the state of the tick boxes in your own browser (localStorage). That information is never sent to the Embassy and can be removed with the “Clear” button or by clearing your browser data.

No analytics

Legal basis and purpose

Data are processed to answer users’ requests, to manage participation in the comments and to keep the site secure, in the performance of the public-interest functions entrusted to the Embassy and, for comments, on the basis of the consent given when you submit them. The Embassy does not sell or pass personal data to third parties and does not use them for advertising.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access your data, to have them rectified or erased, to restrict or object to their processing and, where applicable, to data portability. You may also withdraw, at any time, the consent given for the publication of a comment. To exercise these rights, write to info@embassymozambique.se. If you consider that the processing infringes the law, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, in Sweden the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).
