Before you apply

Visa exemptionSince 1 May 2023, citizens of the Nordic countries and of 25 other nationalities are exempt from a visa for tourism or business (stays of up to 30 days). See the full list and Decree no. 10/2023.
E-Visa portalNationalities that are not exempt must apply for a tourist or business visa at evisa.gov.mz before travelling.
Applications to the EmbassyAll applications and documents must be scanned as PDF and emailed to info@embassymozambique.se, with the visa application form completed and signed, with a photograph. Do not send your physical passport until asked.
FeesIn Swedish kronor, paid only after notification from the Embassy. See the fees and payment methods.

⚠️ Recommendation: apply for your visa well in advance of your planned travel date. Do not make any payment before the Embassy asks you to.

Only for official or service passports and laissez-passer.

  • Note verbale issued by the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy, High Commission, Consulate or International Organisation.
  • Official or service passport, or laissez-passer.
  • Visa application form, completed and signed.
  • Two photographs.
