History
The Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique in Stockholm was opened in 1988 with the aim of strengthening solidarity, friendship and cooperation with the Nordic countries. The Mission in Sweden also covers the other Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway.
Since it opened, the Embassy has been led by seven Heads of Mission. The current Ambassador, H.E. Mr Francisco Neto António Novela, Ambassador of the Republic of Mozambique to the Kingdom of Sweden, presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden, on 22 May 2026.
